Gertrude VanderWal, a lifelong resident of the Tri Cities area, passed away November 5, 2015 at Sanctuary At the Shore in Grand Haven. SURVIVORS She is survived by her son Howard (Beverly) VanderWal of Grand Haven; daughter Susan (Harry) WoJahn of Muskegon. Also surviving are her grandchildren Erin (Nick) Grimard, Kristine Hardy, Harry (Heidi) Wojahn Jr. and Sean (Shevaun) Bacholl all of the Tri Cities area, Shannon (Sam) Tullos and Michael Bacholl of White Pigeon, MI. Several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, daughter Jalaine, mother and father Greertje and William DeCook, three sisters Irene, Jean and Wilhelmina and brother Peter, favorite niece Betty Filthaut and grandson Richard Kooiman. SERVICES Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Lakeshore Baptist Church with Pastor Muri officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Cemetery.
