Gertrude M. Cooper

Gertrude M. Cooper, age 86, passed away February 24, 2008. She was born in Muskegon on June 24, 1921 to the late Clifford and Bessie Anderson. In 1941 she married Herbert who survives her, along with two daughters, Jan (David) Olsen, Cheryl Belt; four grandchildren, Michelle (Peter Margules) Belt, Renee Olsen, David, Jr. (Jennifer) Olsen, Brian (Jane) Belt; six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Jenna, Kaitlyn and Kaleigh Olsen and Branden Belt. Gertrude is survived by five sisters, Vivian Day, Millie Allen, Shirley Brown, Norma Pickard, Carmen (Geroge) Rillema. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28th at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Avenue, with Pastor Al Engstrom officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
