Gerald Allen Vanhassel

Vanhassel, Mr Gerald Allen Muskegon Mr Gerald Allen Vanhassel, age 74, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. He was born in Hart, MI on January 25, 1946 to John & Nellie (Morrison) VanHassel and served his country in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He married the former Naoma Spence on April 15, 1967. Mr Vanhassel had been employed as a technician for GTE and later as a general contractor in home construction until retirement. Gerald was a member of the White Lake Eagles, enjoyed fishing, hunting all over the country, playing cards, and watching cowboy movies, especially those starring John Wayne. SURVIVORS Wife, Naoma; son, James Allen (Corey) VanHassel from OH; grandchild, Allen VanHassel; brothers Larry and Tom; sisters, Betty and Linda. He was preceded in death by son Gregory in 2020; brothers, Bob, Bill & John. SERVICE Monday, October 19, 2020, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Fruitland Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Walter officiating. Internment in Fruitland Township Cemetery.
