FLANERY, MRS. GEORGIA Muskegon Mrs. Georgia M. Flanery, age 83, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 with grace and dignity. She was born in Big Sandy, TN on October 23, 1922 to Grover C. & Annie French Dolan and married Basil Edward Flanery on November 21, 1940 in Scottville, MI. He preceded her in death in 1983. She married her second husband, Edward Cady in 1989, and he also preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Flanery had been employed as a Personnel Supervisor at GTE for 30 years until retiring in 1978. She was a member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, where she had been the church financial secretary for many years. She was also a member of the Jazz Society, volunteered at "MAP", the Mission for Area People, the Salvation Army, & the American Cancer Society. She was an avid reader. Georgia loved her family and had a deep abiding faith. SURVIVORS Son, Michael Mary Flanery of Twin Lake; 3 grandchildren, Kara Jamey Nelson, Erin Keith Burkett, both of Muskegon, Christine Flanery of Flagstaff, AZ; 3 great grandchildren, Eric & Emma Nelson, Laine Burkett; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Flanery of Flagstaff, AZ; 3 stepchildren, Lyle Sue Cady of Muskegon, Radeene Charles Lambert of Muskegon The Flanery family extends their deep appreciation to Chuck Lambert for assisting our Mother & Grandmother in her time of need, Phyllis James Robey of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by her son, Duane in 1982. SERVICE Monday, November 7, 2005, 11:00 AM at Crestwood United Methodist Church with Pastor Dianne Doten Morrison officiating. VISITATION Sunday, 3-6 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Salvation Army. Clock - Muskegon
