George H. Weston

WESTON, MR. GEORGE H. North Muskegon Mr. George H. Weston, age 88, died at home on Friday, November 26, 2004. He was born on August 6, 1916 on the second wedding anniversary of his parents, George, Sr. & Florence Rogers Weston. He graduated from Muskegon High School and attended his 70th class reunion in September. On March 4, 1939 he married the former Norma L. Bassett and they celebrated their 65th anniversary this year. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Postal Clerk for 30 years before retirement. George enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, listening to classical music, walking and nature. He had a strong love for his country and cherished the flag that represented it. SURVIVORS Wife, Norma; 2 daughters, Barbara Daniel Weikel of North Muskegon and Patricia Raymond Green of Livonia, MI; 2 grandsons, David Amanda Green of Livonia and Matthew Sara Green of Lexington, KY; A great granddaughter, Jacynda of Livonia; 2 sisters-in-law, Polly Bassett of AZ & Betty Weston of Muskegon; A nephew, nieces, cousins & an extended family of step-children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
