George R. Underhill

George R. Underhill, age 90, passed away at home on January 31, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marian; a grandson, three sisters, and five brothers. He is survived by three children, George (Pam) Underhill, Caroline Kubicek, and Jackie (Stan) Tyler; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister; Doris Roswell, along with several nieces and nephews. George was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He retired from Sealed Power. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He attended First Congregational Church of Fruitport, 3212 Pontaluna Road, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Pastor David Hulings officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at First Congregational Church of Fruitport in Memory of George R. Underhill.
