THOMPSON, GEORGE EDWARD 3/7/1926 - 11/8/2020 Mr. George E. Thompson, age 94, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 from Covid. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 7, 1926 to George and Alma Thompson. He married Gilda Bennett on April 25, 1951. He retired from Blue Arrow (CW Transport) in 1985 where he was a truck driver for 34 years. George enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going for rides by the lake. He served his country in the US Army and was discharged on July 4, 1946. George was a Golden member of Fraternal Order of Eagles- #668. SURVIVORS Children, Barb Wheeler (Al Thompson), Tim (Karen) Thompson, Sandy (Blake) Richards, David (Tammie) Thompson, Scott Thompson; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Morris; many nieces and nephews ; his special grandpups, Sassy, Sierra, Rocky, and Bella. He was proceeded in death by his wife Gilda; son, George Jr., and his family dogs Charlie, Smokey Joe, and Lola Belle. SERVICE Private Services will be held.
