George N. Reiss

REISS, MR. GEORGE N. Grand Haven, MI Mr. George N. Reiss, age 80, died Saturday, June 7, 2003. He was born in Gobles, MI on February 28, 1923 to Leopold & Katherine Krizak Reiss & married the former Evelyn Polak in Grand Haven on February 27, 1948. Mr. Reiss had been employed as a Sheet Metal Worker at Bastian & Blessing for 32 years until retiring on March 29, 1985. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church & a member of Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326, Grand Haven. He also enjoyed gardening, camping & listening to Polka music. Survivors: His wife of 55 years, Evelyn; 2 sons, Steven Reiss of Grand Haven, MI & Terry Marcia Reiss of Fruitport, MI; 1 daughter, Joanie Reiss of Grand Haven, MI; 1 sister, Louise Boeve of Grand Haven, MI; 1 brother, Joseph Louise Reiss of Grand Haven, MI; 2 sisters-in-law, Delores Leo Reiss of West Olive, MI & Marian John Reiss of Grand Haven, MI; a dear cousin, Sylvia Frank Niemczak of West Olive, MI; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Leo & John & by a sister, Laura Wells. Funeral Mass: Tuesday, June 10, 2003, 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Fr. William Langlois pre-siding. Interment at Historic Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326. Monday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Memorial: Air Conditioning Fund at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Clock-Grand Haven
