MICKA, MR. GEORGE JR. Fruitport Mr. George Micka, Jr., age 82, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, October 23, 2001. He was born in Fruitport, MI on February 17, 1919 to George & Suzie Valach Micka, Sr. & married the former Marie L. Hagen on March 30, 1940 in Muskegon, MI. Mr. Micka had served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He had been employed as a Pattern Maker at Victory Industries for 25 years until retiring in 1978. Mr. Micka was a member of Dr Martin Luther Lutheran Church & was active in 4-H & other various senior groups. He enjoyed reading, reciting poetry & the pursuit of knowledge. SURVIVORS 2 sons, George Mary Micka III & Ronald Bonnie Micka, both of Roosevelt Park; 4 grandchildren, George Jamie Micka IV, Martin Micka, Lisa Jeff Boersema & Thomas Micka; 2 sisters, Susan Mabrito of Fruitport & Margaret Stidham of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie on November 18, 1999 & by a brother, Emil. SERVICE Friday, October 26, 2001, 11:00 AM at Dr Martin Luther Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Stroh officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
