George R. Hoffman

HOFFMAN, MR. GEORGE R. Holton, MI Mr. George R. Hoffman, age 61, died Monday, September 24, 2001. He was born in Traverse City, MI on March 9, 1940 to Raymond Virtle & Virginia Ruth Cornell Hoffman & married the former Janet Poort on May 23, 1998. Mr. Hoffman had been employed as a Lift Truck Driver at Nelson Metals of Grand Rapids for 36 years prior to his retirement in 1996. He was an avid hunter, fisherman & enjoyed wildlife & the outdoors. SURVIVORS Wife, Janet; son, Brian Kelly Hoffman of Ravenna; 2 stepsons, Randall Charlene Midkiff & Eric Midkiff, both of Twin Lake; stepdaughter, Shelly Lambkin of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; his father-in-law, Richard L. Poort II; a sister, Julia Larry Buys of Muskegon as well as several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Hoffman.
