Mr. George Henry Gorajec, age 68, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 10, 2007. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Poland to Joseph and Frances Gorajec. George came to Muskegon as a young boy and later married Judith A. Paul on August 17, 1963. She died on September 5, 1989. George was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and retired from Brunswick Corp. in 2001 after 44 years employment. He was a very active member of the Polish National Alliance (Pulaski Lodge Group # 2809) having been the Treasurer for many years. Survivors include his children, Paul and Mitchell Gorajec, and Anne (Phil) Brown all of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jacob and Nicole Gorajec and Kendal, Kyle, and Grandpa's little Pal, Zachary Brown; sister, Mary Cerniak of New Jersey; brothers-in-law, Lanny and John Paul; former daughter-in-law, Jodi Gorajec. George was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Henry, Stanley, and Bruno Gorajec, and sister, Natalie Maciag. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Marian Chapel. Burial will be made in St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation hours today will be from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Memorial Contributions to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Development Fund.
