ARNOLD, MR. GEORGE W. Spring Lake Mr. George W. Arnold, age 87, died Thursday, July 22, 2004. He was born in Hill City, Minnesota, on March 22, 1917 to Harry & Bertha Jessett Arnold and married the former E. Louise Bakker on April 5, 1937. Mr. Arnold was the founder and had operated Arnold's Auto Glass. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Muskegon Elks Lodge #274, Vikings Linne Lodge #57, Muskegon Breakfast Optimist Club, Noachite Masonic Lodge and the Muskegon Shrine Club. Mr. Arnold enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was also a scout master and had himself received scouting's highest honor, the Eagle Scout Award. Mr. Arnold had served on the Board of Directors of the National Glass Dealers. SURVIVORS 1 son, William Susan Arnold of Spring Lake; 1 daughter, Mary Louise Dennis Christian of Jenison; 5 grandchildren, James Arnold, Richard Arnold , Elizabeth Rolinski, Kevin Chrisitan and Craig Christian; 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Harold Alice Arnold of Ludington; 1 sister- in-law, Olive Edson of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, E. Louise Arnold, son, Vernon George Arnold and 2 sisters, Alma Luhman and Lois Arnold. SERVICE Saturday, July 24, 2004, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel with Rev. Jan Johnson officiating. Interment at Hart Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 7-9 PM and one hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Central United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Ottawa Community. Clock - Muskegon
