Gene Rollins

Mr. Gene L. Rollins, age 74, passed away unexpectedly June 18, 2007, while camping in West Branch, MI. He was born May 18, 1933 in Ludington to Herman and Margaret (Greene) Rollins and moved to Muskegon as a child. He married the former Arlene Greene in Manistee on October 17, 1959. Mr. Rollins was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fremont and a former member of the Muskegon Eagles. He was employed for the City of Muskegon Water & Sewer Department for 25 years retiring in 1992. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. SURVIVORS: his wife, Arlene; 1 son, Jerry L. Rollins of Muskegon; 3 daughters, Patricia K. Taylor and Deborah C. Leonard both of Muskegon, and Janet L. (Ace) Johnson of Whitehall; 3 brothers, Robert (Shirley) Rollins of Grayling, MI, Calvin Rollins of Illinois and Charles Rollins of California; 12 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and a favorite aunt, Catherine Greene. He was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell in 1992. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday 11 A.M. at the Lee Funeral Home, 2812 Fifth St., with Rev. Don Williams presiding. INTERMENT: Otto Cemetery. VISITATION: Thursday 24 & 68 P.M.
