Gayle Yvonne Mergener, 85, of Fruitport, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Gayle was born June 21, 1939, the daughter of Verlis and Mildred Tiffany. She married Fred Mergener in the late 1950s and together they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage until his death in 2020. Gayle worked for the US Post Office most of her working career. She enjoyed baking, a little gambling here and there, traveling, and most of all being with her family. She was a funny, quick-witted, sweet, caring, generous woman who will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Gayle is survived by: her children, Randy (Laurie) Mergener, and Todd (Jody) Mergener; grandchildren, Eric (Blossom), Jordan, Shane, Tadd, and Hunter; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (JoAnn) Tiffany, Jim (Teri) Tiffany; sister, Donna Mills; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Fred; and grandson, Ryan.

SERVICES

A Celebration of Gayle's Life will take place in late spring early summer of 2025.
