Gary Richard Hoekenga, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 11, 1930 to Garrett & Esther (Bergren) Hoekenga and married the former Mary Jane (Jacob) Hoekenga on May 11, 1951. Mr. Hoekenga worked as a pattern maker at Anderson Pattern until retiring in 1993. Gary attended Westwood Reformed Church, enjoyed sports & collecting watches and coins. SURVIVORS Sons, Donald Hoekenga of Muskegon, Brian (Frances) Hoekenga of Norton Shores; grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Allen, Andrea, Emily Solar, Samantha Green, Nicholas Green, Gabrial Green; many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 2003; daughter, Patricia Green; brothers, Jim, Earl, Bob & Tom.
