Gary Conrad

Mr. Gary R. Conrad, age 78, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was born in Detroit, MI on May 4, 1934 to Orville & Juanita (Anglin) Conrad and served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Conrad had been employed as a shipping clerk and Union President at Aero Manufacturing for an award winning 50 years until retiring. He was the President of the Muskegon Democratic Party for 24 years and Chairman of the Board of the Muskegon County Road Commission for 24 years, OSHA for the State of Michigan and member of the Don Rea VFW Post #8846. Gary loved music and was proficient in playing the banjo with his band Gary Conrad & the Syncopators. SURVIVORS Luann Voss; son, Gregory Conrad of Muskegon; daughter, Gaea (Fred) Norvell of CA; grandchildren, Josh & Natasha Conrad, Daniel & Cody Norvell; 2 great grandchildren, Brooklyn Conrad, Caitlain Conrad; sister, Diane (Dale) Boring; half brother, David Griffin.
