Gale Joann Newton, age 69 passed away April 28th, 2024, at Mission Point of Lamont. She was born November 23rd, 1954, in Grand Haven to Gilbert Sr. and Marjorie (Lockard) Newton. Gale held many professional degrees and attended Western Michigan and Grand Valley State University. She worked as a counselor through Muskegon Correctional Facility. Everyone knew her as the "purple lady." Her faith was very important to her and deemed herself intuitive clairvoyant. She loved to shop, spend time with her family and cat Sophie.

SURVIVORS

She is lovingly remembered by her three siblings Gilbert Newton, Florence (Sue) Newton and Faith (Jeff) Wright and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Louise Newton.

SERVICES

A memorial service for Gale will be held May 5th, 2024 @4pm, at the Unity Spiritual Center of Muskegon, 1735 Peck St. Muskegon, MI 49441. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Quality Care Hospice of Michigan.
