VANDERLAAN, MR. FREDERICK G. Muskegon, MI Mr. Frederick G. Vanderlaan, age 78, died Sunday, August 3, 2003. Born in Muskegon, MI on April 25, 1925 to John & Effie Wierengo Vanderlaan, he married J. Elaine Judson on September 22, 1945 in Muskegon. Mr. Vanderlaan was a 1943 graduate of Muskegon High School, attended Washington University in St. Louis, MI & was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII. He was a former partner of Northside Construction Co. & also formerly employed at Howmet. Fred was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, a member of the Muskegon Elks Club & the Liars Club. He enjoyed motor home travel, home building projects & his family & friends. SURVIVORS Wife, J. Elaine; son, Roger R. Linda Vanderlaan of Norco, CA; daughters, Susan G. Robert Walters of Plainwell, MI & Laurie K. James Duplissis of North Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Jason, James, Julie, Josh, Tyson, Cade great-granddaughter, Avery; brother, George Barbara Vanderlaan of Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE Tuesday, August 5, 2003, 3:00 PM at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery.
