RIEKSE, MR. FREDERICK CHARLES Fruitport, MI Mr. Frederick Charles Riekse, age 80, died Thursday, May 8, 2003. He was born in Detroit, MI on October 18, 1922 to Cornelius & Ruth Thompson Riekse & married the former Cleo Reynolds on July 20, 1946. Mr. Riekse served in the Merchant Marines & Naval Air Corps. He had been employed as a Tool & Die Maker at Teledyne Continental Motors for 35 years until retiring in 1978. He enjoyed his family, camping, bowling, home building projects & his Irish Setter ''Erin.'' SURVIVORS 1 son, Lt. Col. Max Nelly Riekse of Fruitport, MI; 1 daughter, Nan Riekse of Fruitport, MI; 1 grandson, Richard Riekse; 1 sister, Rusty Clauss of VA; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo in 1998. SERVICE Monday, May 12, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Chip Hackney officiating. Interment at Coopersville Cemetery.
