Freda Rule, age 80, died July 6, 2007 at her home on Indian Point. Born July 3, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to herman and Ruby (Kidner) Buehl, she attended Ohio State University. She held a private pilot's license and met Robert M. Rule while both were working at the Ohio State University airport. They were married on June 12, 1948 in Massilon, Ohio and lived in the same house on the shore of White Lake for the past 45 years. Freda was a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church, and was the Secretary of the White Lake Yacht Club for many years. She loved White Lake and Lake Michigan and was widely regarded as one of the area's most avid and accomplished fishermen. FAMILY: Her husband, Robert; 3 children, Robin Rule of Key West, FL, Marsha Rule of Tallahassee, FL, and Douglas (Alison) Rule of Bloomfield Hills; and 5 grandchildren MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held in late August on a date to be announced.
