Fred Schultz

SCHULTZ, MR. FRED Fruitport Mr. Fred Schultz, age 84, died Friday, April 23, 2004. He was born in Fruitport, MI on February 25, 1920 to Louis & Olga Schauer Schultz & married the former Jean LaGesse on June 7, 1947 in Muskegon, MI. Mr. Schultz served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been employed as a Mechanic at A Carriers for 22 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Fruitport V.F.W. & teamsters, and also a charter member of Fruitport Eagles. Mr. Schultz enjoyed hunting, fishing & gardening. SURVIVORS His wife of 57 years, Jean; 1 son, Mark Laurie Schultz of Grant, MI; 1 daughter, Patricia Eric Vest of Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Dustin, Amber, Sandi, Chris 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lydia Reynolds of Muskegon; 3 brothers, Paul Sophie Schultz, Oscar Irene Schultz, Clarence Schultz, all of Fruitport; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Rob in 1994, 2 brothers, Herbert & Herman & 2 sisters, Elsie Hentschel & Millie Johnson. SERVICE Tuesday, April 27, 2004, 11:00 AM at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Don Wood officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery.
