HOLLAND, MR. FRED J. Muskegon Mr. Fred J. Holland, age 82, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was born in Camden, TN on October 2, 1925 to Clarence & Linnie (Johnson) Holland and married the former Jane M. Fuller on May 4, 1979. Mr. Holland had served his country in the US Navy and been employed as a Police Officer for the City of Muskegon. He owned Hilltop Tavern & L Laundromat, was a member of McGraft Memorial Congregational Church, as well as, member of Canteen 450 FD, a past Ruler of Elks 274, Charles Hammond FOP Lodge Chaplain, & foreman at Rieth-Riley. SURVIVORS Wife, Jane; sons, Charles (Julie) Holland of Muskegon, Fred (Penelope) Holland II of Spring Lake; daughter, Karen (Frederick) Summerfield; stepsons, David (Deborah) Arnson of Muskegon, Gary ( Marcie) Arnson of Plainwell; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Bertha (Robert) Cain of Twin Lake. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Everette Holland; sister, Myra Jean (George) Douglas; nephew, John VanenBoom; 2 great grandchildren. SERVICE Saturday, May 31, 2008, 11:00 AM, at McGraft Memorial Congregational Church with Pastor Donald Wood officiating. Interment at East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
