Fred Allen Hatcher Sr, age 76, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 30, 1947 to Tollie & Fannie (Dooley) Hatcher Sr and grew up in the Twin Lake area and attended Whitehall Schools. Fred worked various jobs through the years and most recently as a Car Detailer at Don Rypma Chevrolet in Whitehall until retiring. Fred was a very friendly guy who always had a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, listening to music and dancing. If he saw you he would give you a friendly wave which earned him the nickname "Wavey". He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

His life-time partner of 42 years, Mary Casteneda; children, Greg Austin, Fred (Lateef Owens) Hatcher Jr., Charles (Jennifer) Hatcher, Brad (Rebecca Nyuli) Hatcher, Fregina (Bud) Griffin; step-children, Cecilia Casteneda, Rudy Casteneda; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.; Siblings, Audrey Kennebrew, Ann Smith, Tollie Hatcher Jr., Timothy (Marion) Hatcher, Jerry Hatcher, Ronald Rayford. He was preceded in death by his father Tollie, his mother Fannie and his brother James and 3 grandchildren, Trisharia Hatcher, Fred Hatcher 3rd, Shaneen Hatcher.
