Fred A. Wiersma

WIERSMA, MR. FRED A. Twin Lake, MI Mr. Fred A. Wiersma, age 86, died Sunday, May 11, 2003. He was born in Ridgefield, WA on September 24, 1916 to Fred & Emma Wiersma & married the former Darnella Ewing. Mr. Wiersma served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps & had been employed as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1981. He was a member of Lovell Moore Masonic Lodge #182, Order of the Eastern Star & American Legion-Whitehall. SURVIVORS Wife, Darnella; 2 sons, Richard Lynda Wiersma of Potterville, MI & Fred J. Wiersma & friend, Ruth of Muskegon, MI; 9 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bert Arlene Wiersma of Dorr, MI & Jack Bernie Wiersma of Middleville, MI; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & by 3 brothers, Dick, Sebie & baby Erwin. SERVICE Thursday, May 15, 2003, 10:30 AM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Jim Meines officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday, 6-8 PM & Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM with a Masonic Memorial Service on Wednesday, 7:30 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
