In Loving Memory of Franklin Pierson Welch
August 2, 1954 - October 6, 2026
Frank Welch, a lifelong resident of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 2, 1954, to the union of Rosella and Franklin Welch, Frank was the sixth of ten children. He spent his life in the community he called home, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and love for his family.
Frank was a proud graduate of Muskegon High School. Following graduation, he went on to serve in the United States military. After returning home, he put his many talents to work, becoming a true jack of all trades. Whether working on cars, driving trucks, handling handyman projects, or managing his rental properties as a landlord, Frank was a man who could get the job done. If something needed fixing or doing, Frank was always willing to give it a try. His resourcefulness, determination, and practical skills were a testament to the kind of man he was.
Beyond his work, Frank had a personality that was truly one of a kind. He was a big-time jokester, always ready with a joke, a clever comeback, or a quick remark that could bring a smile to anyone's face. His sense of humor was a special part of who he was, and those who knew him will remember the laughter and unforgettable moments he brought into their lives. When he wasn't cracking jokes or spending time with family, Frank could often be found playing his favorite computer games.
Frank had a special love for his dog, Brandy, who brought him companionship and joy. He also cherished his family and the connections he shared with those closest to him. Though he never married, the relationships he built throughout his life were meaningful, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Frank leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. His life was a reminder that being dependable, having a good sense of humor, and showing up when someone needs you are qualities that leave a lasting impression.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory: his son, James Durga; his sister, Cindy Welch; his brothers, Roy (Sue) Welch and Randy Welch; along with extended family members, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Rosella and Franklin Welch; his brothers, Henry Wiggins, Steven Wiggins, Joseph Welch, George Goodrich, and his sisters, Pamela Welch and Belinda Johnson
Though Frank's passing was unexpected, the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him. His laughter, quick wit, hardworking spirit, and willingness to lend a hand will never be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Frank. You will be truly missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
