Dr. Frank Gerald Harris, age 88, of Twin Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2026, at Trinity Hospital.

Frank was born on April 25, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, to Kenneth and Gladys (Spillane) Harris. After graduating from Grand Blanc High School, he honorably served two years in the United States Army before pursuing his passion for animal care at Michigan State University, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. For 40 years, Dr. Harris dedicated his career to serving the Grand Blanc area, treating both large farm animals and small pets with an unwavering work ethic and gentle care.

On June 29, 1968, Frank married the love of his life, Nancy Krupp, after meeting on a blind date. Following his retirement, Frank and Nancy relocated to their cherished cottage on Middle Lake in Twin Lake. A true outdoorsman, Frank loved hunting and fishing, and he continued giving back to nature through environmental volunteering, including local fish identification programs. Together with Nancy, he traveled the world, with his favorite adventure being an unforgettable cruise deep into the Amazon River. Frank was deeply devoted to his family and treasured the lifelong bonds shared with his large, tight-knit family, including his 31 first cousins and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy Harris; his children, Jennifer (Mark) Nord and Frank Harris Jr.; his cherished grandchildren, Brooke Nord and Fisher Nord; brother and sister in-laws Tom and Lynda Krupp, and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Harris and sister-in-law Kathy Harris.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Clock Funeral Home. In accordance with Frank's wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held. His family will celebrate his life privately and scatter his ashes in a place close to his heart. Please visit www.clockfuneralhome.com to sign the guestbook or leave a memory.
