Frank D. Deater

Mr. Frank D. Deater, age 75, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 8, 1933 to Frank & Clara (Artlip) Deater and married the former Shirley Haywood-Woonacott on August 31, 1990. Mr. Deater served his country in the US AirForce as a Sargeant for 25 years until retiring. After retiring from the Military he worked in maintenance at Old Kent Bank. Frank was a life time member of V.F.W. Post # 1994. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife, Shirley; son, Steven (Georgia) Deater of CA; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; stepchildren, Robert Woonacott of Grand Haven, James Woonacott of Grand Haven, Jane (Steve) Akey of Zeeland, Darci Woonacott of Spring Lake; 8 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; brother, Martin Deater of Muskegon; sister, Mary "Terri" Smith of CA; sister-in-law, Bobbie Deater; several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Vance; daughter, LeAnn; step granddaughter, Megan, brother's, Floyd (Joyce), Paul (Bernadine), Don, Richard; sister's, Ila Marchido & Marleen Horney.
