Mr. Burt, age 85, died April 12, 2007. Born May 24, 1921, in Hesperia, to Ravello and Grace (Farber) Burt, he had lived in the White Lake area the past 46 years. He was married to the former Ruth Lorriman who preceded him in death in 1963. On August 7, 1964, in Whitehall, he married the former Laverl Bushaw, who preceded him in death in 1998. He had worked at Howmet Corp. for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of White Lake VFW Post #3256, Wood-Tazelaar Chapter #11 DAV and White Lake Area Sportfishing Association. Mr. Burt served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, earning the Purple Heart. FAMILY: Children, James (Penny) Horrisberger and Ronald (Bonnie) Horrisberger both of CA, Nancy Clegg of New Era, Barbara Near of Whitehall, Ronald Magers of MA and Karen (Chuck) Leinen of WI; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; cherished companion, Phyllis Blair; special friends, Jim Tanis and Cecile Kole. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 11:00 AM, from White Lake VFW Post #3256, 9370 Walsh Rd., Montague, with the Mr. James K. Tanis as Eulogist.
