Frances Jean Johnson, age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was born on October 17, 1946, in Columbus, MS, to James and Ada (Johnson) Johnson. A proud graduate of Muskegon High School (Class of 1964), Frances later attended Muskegon Community College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She dedicated over 20 years to nursing at Hackley Hospital, continuing her compassionate care for many others throughout her life.
Frances was a woman of abundant talents and boundless love. She enjoyed reading, water exercise, and cooking, and was renowned for her thoughtfulness, never missing a chance to send birthday cards to family and friends. A dedicated member of TOPS Club, Inc., Frances cherished her role as "Top Kop" and found joy and fellowship within West Side Grace Church. Her unwavering faith and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, were the foundations of her life and a guiding legacy for her children. Known for her selflessness, Frances often said, "Don't block my blessing. I'm doing what God told me to do," reflecting her deeply generous spirit.
Her kindness, faith, and devotion left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Her children, Lisa Nash, Terry Nash, Charles Nash, and Angelia (Nash) Coleman; grandchildren, Aaron Nash, Aneesha Muhammed, TJ Nash, Ishmael Nash, Layla Nash, Aja Sanzone, Ashley Nash, NaTasha Brown, Constance (Jose) Aguado, and Joseph Brown; great-grandchild, Amina Brown; siblings, Velma Murphy, Irene Green Johnson, Willie Minor, and Troy Johnson; best friend and former spouse, Terry C. Nash; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and her beloved TOPS family.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marjean Berry, Mary Bell, Dorothy Lester, James "Bud" Johnson, and Jimmie Johnson.
Homegoing Celebration of Life
A service to honor Frances will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Clock Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Darrell Caviness. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
