Mrs. Frances J. Haken, age 88, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008. She was born in Muskegon, MI on November 15, 1919 to Albert & Sena (Keur) Medendorp and married Frank Leffring until his death in 1968, she then married Oakie Haken. Mrs. Haken had been employed as a Cake Decorator at Ryke's Bakery for 22 years until retiring. She was a member of Berean Church. SURVIVORS Daughters, Lynn (Stan) Parnell of St Joseph MI, Pat (Jim) Sweet of Muskegon; 3 stepchildren; grandchildren, Carmen (Mike) Meurer, Gina (Chip) Dobbin, Shelley (Kevin) Wynn; grand son-in-law, Todd Bowcamp; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Casey (Ruth) Medendorp of Coldwater; sister, Artis (Tom) Nummerdor of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Bill Leffring; sister-in-laws, Doris Medendorp of Muskegon, Joyce Leffring. She was preceded in death by 1st husband, Frank, 2nd husband, Oakie; granddaughter, DeAnne Bowcamp; brother, John Medendorp; sister, Betty Barnard. SERVICE Saturday, November 1, 2008, 11:00 AM at Berean Church with Pastor Dwight Reed officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 3-6 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home-Muskegon & Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL: Berean Church Memorial Fund.
