Frances E. Flowers

Mrs. Frances E. Flowers, age 96, passed gently into the arms of our Lord Friday evening, December 19, 2008. She was born June 22, 1912 in Holladay, TN to Thomas and Ella (Adams) Eaves and had been a resident of the Muskegon area since 1941. On February 3, 1936 she married Robert B. Flowers in Holladay, TN and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1979. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Betty LaVere of Norton Shores, Carolyn (Bill) Young of Jenison, Dick (Suzie) Flowers of Twin Lake; 2 daughters-in-law, Sue Flowers of Arizona, Laurie (David) Dodd of Muskegon; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Dorothy Spence of TN; sister-in-law, Phyllis Eaves of CA; cousin, Leola Barnes of Norton Shores; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Jim, William "Tom", and Bob Flowers; 1 daughter, Charlotte Edsall; 2 grandsons, Robert S. LaVere and Jon Flowers; 1 great-grandson, Carson Richard Flowers; 4 brothers, John, Bill, Woodrow, and Thomas Eaves, Jr.; and a sister, Beulah Barnes. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Rev. David A. Selleck officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
