Florine McDaniel-Sargent was born December 1, 1930 to the late Eddie and Lillie (Mama Lillie McDaniel in Magnolia, Arkansas. Florine McDaniel married Climmie T. Sargent on May 12, 1944. Climmie T. and Florine moved to Detroit, Michigan. They later moved to Muskegon, Michigan.

Florine was a member of Christ Temple Church in the late 40's under the late Bishop Lee. She was a Sunday school teacher and missionary. As a missionary, she traveled to Africa with the late Bishop Willie Burrel Sr. and his late wife, Willie Bell Burrel.

Florine Sargent and Ada Scott were the first two women appointed trust by the late Bishop Willie Burrel. She serviced under the late Bishop Willie Burrel Sr., Bishop Willie Burrel Jr., and Bishop Avery Burrel as the Foreign Mission Treasury and over the Pastor Appreciation.

Florine departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the age of 94 with family surrounded by her bedside. She leaves to cherish her memories 7 children, Dora Blake of Milwaukee, WI, Claude (Linda) Sargent of Fontana, CA, Charles Sargent of Grand Rapids, MI, Loretta Sargent of Lansing, MI, Roy (Kathy) Sargent of Muskegon, MI, Patrice Ann Sargent-Nash of Muskegon, MI, 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, brother, L.S. McDaniel of Muskegon Heights, MI, Goddaughter, Inez Chapman-Taylor of California, son in law, Roston Sargent of Muskegon, MI, and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

Florine was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lillie (Mama Lillie) McDaniel, husband, Climmie T. Sargent, daughter, Marva Joe Sargent, grandson, Patrick, great-great grandson, Marcus, 6 sisters, and 4 brothers.
