MCNITT, MRS. FLORENCE North Muskegon Mrs. Florence McNitt, age 96, died Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born in Everett, WA on July 28, 1907 to Milton & Lottie May Vorce Rohr & married Lyle McNitt on June 16, 1934. Mrs. McNitt had been employed as a first grade school teacher at Orchard View until retiring in 1972. She was a longtime member of Calvary Church, an active Sunday School Teacher & held Child Evangelism classes in her home. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting & traveling in their travel trailer. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Gertrude Oscar Johnson of TX & Lureen Chuck Mullally of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Darcy & Shannon Mullally; 2 great grandchildren, Owen & Max Lyke; 1 sister, Velda Swanson of Grand Rapids; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle on March 22, 1999 & a sister, Ruth Hancock. SERVICE Thursday, April 22, 2004, 3:00 PM at Calvary Church in Fruitport with Rev's Jim Ankney & Bob Lenz officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Calvary Church or Hackley Visiting Nurse Hospice. Clock - Muskegon
