Mrs. Betty Mae Fialek, age 70, passed away at a local hospital early Sunday morning, November 12, 2006 following a short illness. Betty was born in Ludington on June 7, 1936 to Ora J. and Ada E. (O'Connell) Fox. The family moved to Muskegon when Betty was a child. She was a 1957 graduate of Muskegon Hts. High School. She married Jack B. Fialek in Muskegon on March 14, 1959. She was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a retired bookkeeper from the Shell Station on Sherman where she worked with her husband, Jack, for many years. SURVIVORS: Her husband, Jack; 2 daughters, Jackie L. Lane and Diane M. (John) LaMadline both of Muskegon; 3 sons, Duane B. of Texas, James E. of Muskegon and Michael J. (Cyndi) of Muskegon; mother, Ada E. "Bess" Fox of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Scott (Melani), LeWis, Jasmine, Lucas, Sarah and Ashley and 1 great-grandson, Chance. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1150 Seminole Rd. at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2006 with Rev. Randy Murphy and Rev. Ed Wilder presiding. MEMORIAL: Those desiring an expression of sympathy are asked to please consider the American Cancer Society.
