Fern "Elaine" Drake

Mrs. Fern "Elaine" Drake, age 87, died Monday, February 20, 2012. She was born in Savanna, IL on August 10, 1924 to Burl & Agnes (Chrisman) Ernst and married William Drake on January 27, 1945. She was a member of Church of Christ Grand Haven and enjoyed road trips, crafts, decorating, and camping. Mrs. Drake had been a loving mother and grandmother whose family was always foremost in her life. SURVIVORS Sons, Bill (Donna) Drake of Spring Lake, Tom (Mary) Drake of Fruitport, Doug (Sandy) Drake of Mesick; daughters, Mary Evans of Nunica, Carol (Barry) Hall of Fruitport, Sheila Drake of Fruitport; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Betsy) Ernst of Fruitport; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Bill; brother, Marvin; sister, Marjorie Stenholm. SERVICE Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel - Fruitport with Keith Owens officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Hospice of North Ottawa.
