PAULSEN, MS FAYETTA "FAY" MAE Hudsonville, formerly of Bowling Green, OH Ms Paulsen, age 79, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 in Hudsonville. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Muskegon to Alfred and Gladys Irish Paulsen. Ms Paulsen was a graduate of Western Michigan University & MacMurray College. She also attended the University of Colorado and completed doctoral coursework at Syracuse University. Throughout her career, she received numerous awards and honors, including membership in Alpha Lambda Delta, Mortar Board, Phi Lambda Theta, Alpha Xi Delta's 75th Anniversary Award of Top 10 percent Members for Achievement, the Ohio Association of Women Deans, Administrators and Counselor's OAWDAC 1985 President's Recognition Award and the Ohio College Personnel Association's OCPA Phillip A. Tripp Distinguished Service Award. In 1989, BGSU's Chapter of Mortar Board was named the "Fayetta M. Paulsen Cap and Gown Chapter of Mortar Board". Ms Paulsen retired as an Associate Professor Emeritus of Residence Life at Bowling Green State University, having served there for 27 years. She leaves behind, 1 brother, Alfred Eleanor Paulsen of Hudsonville, MI; 1 niece, Debra Paul Meyers of Hudsonville, MI; 2 nephews, Sgt. Christopher Meyers of Ft. Hood, TX and Mark Meyers of Hudsonville, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICE A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
