F. Jack Rose

F. Jack Rose, age 93, died Monday, October 22, 2007, at home. SERVICES: 1 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. VISITATION: 11:45 - 12:45 Thursday at the church. He was born October 22, 1914 in Cadillac, MI, to Fay Earl and Weltha (Truax) Rose. Jack Rose was born on October 22, 1914 in Cadillac, MI to Fay Earl and Weltha (Truax) Rose. He graduated from high school in Montague, MI and attended the Muskegon Community College. Jack was married to Eleanor Hembree on December 25, 1934. He was the owner of F. Jack Rose Construction Co. and retired after 25 years. Jack was a former member of Central United Methodist Church where he was involved for over fifty years. He was President of the Mona Shores School Board for 19 years, as president of the Mona Shores School Board Jack was instrumental in the school district unification and the building of the Mona Shores High School. Jack also helped to organize and build Habitat for Humanity houses in Muskegon. Jack was also a 32nd degree Mason.SURVIVORS: Wife: Eleanor (Hembree) Rose.2 Sons: Craig (Cheryl) Rose of Dubuque, IA & Michael (Janet) Rose of Vero Beach, FL. 2 Daughters-in-Law: Walda (Glen) Sylvester of Lima, MT & Gretchen Rose of Vero Beach, FL. 8 Grandchildren: Eleanor Rose of Elkhart, IN, Charlie (Sarna) Rose of Bozeman, MT, Carolyn (David) Ascher of Wayne, IL, Elizabeth (Gary) Rose-Tolstedt of Dubuque, IA, Emily (Steven) Riedell of Mason, OH, Michael (Mary) Rose of Vero Beach, FL, Tasha (Francesco Gillia) Sylvester of Lima, MT, Meghan Rose of Vero Beach, FL. 1 Sister: Joyce (Michael) Miller of Muskegon, MI. 1 Brother: Kenneth Rose of Lakeland, FL. Preceded in death by: His parents: Fay Earl and Weltha (Truax) Rose, Son: Fay Charles (Jack) Rose, 2 Brothers: Earl and Guy Rose, 2 Sisters: Betty Cross and Peggy Wadas.
