Evelyn Swanson

Mrs. Evelyn M. Swanson, age 87, passed away peacefully in her home, Monday, February 15, 2010 with her children in her presence. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 22, 1922 to Jon & Ella (Muir) Fenner and married Paul Swanson on August 4, 1945. Evelyn had been an active member at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church. Her faith was the core of her existence. She actively sought areas in her life where she could serve others and lend a helping hand. Evelyn's grandchildren held a special place in her heart as each one touched her life in funny and caring ways. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff and participants at Life Circles who have provided our mom with a meaningful year. Thank you. SURVIVORS Evelyn is survived by her three children, Raymond (Pat) Swanson, Robert (Denise) Swanson and Paula (John) Dusseljee; her precious grandchildren, Erin (Steve) Ledyard, Jeff Swanson, Megan and Matthew Swanson, Evan and Nathan Dusseljee; three great grandchildren, Kylie, Brandon, and Anthony Ledyard; sisters, Edna Sherburn and Kate (Don) Simonsen; brother, Burrell (Enid) Fenner; sister-in-law, Emily Zahl; brothers-in-law, Frank Swanson and Martin Shields. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sisters, Lorraine Fenner, Ella (Lollie) Shields; brothers-in-law, Allen Swanson, Warren Swanson; sister-in-law, Violet Tyler. SERVICE Friday, February 19, 2010, 11:00 AM at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, 1568 Giles, with Dr. Sherwin Bransten officiating. Interment Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday , February 18, 2010, 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home-Muskegon. MEMORIAL: American Heart Association or Laketon Bethel Reformed Church.
