PICKEL,MRS. EVELYN C. Muskegon Mrs. Evelyn C. Pickel, age 84, died Sunday, July 22, 2001. She was born in Walnut Ridge, AR on May 6, 1917 to Theodore & Ivy Barnhill Hager & married Russell Pickel in 1937 in South Bend, IN. Mrs. Pickel worked at the Norge before she became a sales supervisor at W.T. Grant for over 15 years until retiring. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church & was a Bluffton PTO Historian. SURVIVORS A son, Michael Penni Pickel of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Joyce Steve Ackerman of Twin Lake; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Grace Christianson & Christine Loflin, both of Muskegon, Naomi Simmons of Walnut Ridge, AR & Pauline Gerald Caffrey of Pocohontas, AR; 2 brothers, Theodore L. Mozelle Hager of Sikeston, MO & Charles Laverne Hager of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1980 & her son Russell in April 2001. SERVICE Thursday, July 26, 2001, 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Vandermolen officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
