Jean was born in Muskegon to Howard & Florence (Camp) Young on 3-13-1936 and lovingly adopted and raised by Edward & Ethel Camp along with her sister Arlene (Camp) Toman. She met Robert (Bob) Nelson on Valentine's Day, Feb 14, 1951, while they were both roller skating at Curvecrest. After realizing they would be better together, they married on Feb 4, 1952. She & Bob spent many evenings at the channel park. She organized many family events on Muskegon Lake, enjoying the water, family, and bonfires. She loved her dogs & was constantly asking "Where's my dog?" when it was right at her feet. When she had a heart attack in 2003, she started going to physical therapy at Cardiac Care and made a special friendship with Bill Strasser and his wife, Alexis. In later years she loved traveling to Florida with daughter Kathie (& Tom Olsen). Jean was a loving wife, Mom, Grandma, G-Gma, neighbor, Big Red fan, and friend--her family was everything to her.
