Evelyn Jennings

Jennings, Mrs. Evelyn Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Evelyn Jennings, age 100, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was born in Soperton, GA on September 20, 1920 to Ira & Edith (Hall) Thigpen and married Roland Jackson until his death in 1980. Evelyn then married Mr. Jack Jennings in June of 1985. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping, sewing, yard work and going out for a fancy dinner. In her later years a special grand daughter, April and her son, Jackson came to live with Evelyn and nurse her along with the loving help of Annette Ellis. SURVIVORS Son, Taylor (Patricia) Jackson; Daughter, Landa Price & Rhonda (David) Rodgers; Grandchildren, Courtney, Joslyn, Kristine, Kay, Arien, Michael, Autumn, April; Many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was proceeded in death by her first husband, Roland Jackson; second husband, Jack Jennings; Brothers, IraVon, Oswald, Patrick; Sisters, Yvonne Tapley and Geraldine Martin. SERVICE Friday, March 5, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Church officiating. Internment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
