Evelyn Hoebeke HOEBEKE, MRS. EVELYN (Widow of Henry J.) Honeybrook, PA (Formerly of Muskegon) Mrs. Evelyn Hoebeke, age 93, went to be with her Lord Wednesday morning, February 1, 2006. She was born August 8, 1912 in Ferrysburg, MI to John & Effie (Bishop) Holtrop, Sr. and had resided in Muskegon for most of her life. Evelyn was a member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church and of its Mary - Martha Society. She had also formerly been a church organist, Sunday School teacher and choir member. Mrs. Hoebeke was also a volunteer for C.R.W.R.C., had been a Christian Service Club teacher and served as a former board member of the Muskegon Rescue Mission Auxiliary. On June 26, 1940 she married Henry J. Hoebeke and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, H. James "Jimmy"; infant daughters, Cynda & Lorraine; her parents; 8 brothers, Abel, Rev. Corneal, Rev. Elton, Henry, Claus, John, Rev. Paul & Rev. Oren Holtrop and 4 sisters, Grace Visser, Rena VanderZwaag, Elsie Wezeman and Joanette DeBie. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Lavonne (Terry) Langeland of Coatesville, PA; 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Graham) Wedeven of Lansdowne, PA, Krista (Kirstin) Bement of Pasadena, CA, Ryan Langeland of Lancaster, OH, Heather Langeland of Charleston, WV, Brandon Langeland of Portland, OR and by 4 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Jaeger and Gavin Wedeven and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1 PM Friday, February 10, 2006 at Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
