Evelyn Covington

Evelyn Ann Covington went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2009 after a long illness. She was born on February 1, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI to the union of Adolph and Joan (Acker) Busch. Evelyn attended the Milwaukee Public School System, graduating in 1969. Following graduation, she worked as a nurses aide until migrating to Muskegon. Upon her arrival to Muskegon, she obtained gainful employment at Johnson's Technology as a Machine Technician. She was a dedicated employee until health failed her and she retired in 2002. In 1973 Evelyn united in Holy Matrimony to Frank Minor, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by her father, Adolph, a granddaughter, Deyonna Robertson Minor and a stepson, Donovan Shelton Covington. In 1990 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Donnell Covington. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Joan Acker Busch of Milwaukee, WI, 3 sons: Frank, Jr., Richard, and Jeffery (Lola) all of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Tanya Lynn of Muskegon; 26 grandchildren; 3 sisters: Laura (Whabib) Khatib, Kathleen Robinson, Jenine (Joseph) Olson all of Milwaukee, WI; 1 brother, Keith (Cindy) Busch of Las Vegas. SERVICE Tuesday, July 14, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at Clock Chapel with Pastor Jerry Rilley officiating. VISITATION Tuesday 2-3 p.m. at Clock Chapel.
