Mrs. Eunice May Skuse, precious Mother and Grandmother, age 76, passed into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her children who loved her very much on Friday morning, December 5, 2008. She was born May 28, 1932 in Muskegon to William and Katherine (Bouwkamp) Wolf and had been a resident of the area all her life. Eunice was a 1950 graduate of Muskegon Heights and was a member of the basketball team. She worked for Meijer, Inc. for 30 years as head cashier before retiring in 1995. Eunice was a Junior Lassie softball player and was active in recreational softball until the age of 61. She also pitched for her daughter's softball team for many years. Eunice loved U of M, enjoyed working outside, going to craft fairs, knitting afghans, helped build her home, and was an ardent fan of the Fruitport Sports Program, but above all, she loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Skuse grew up in the Berean Church. She was a member of Sullivan Community Church of Ravenna, where she was very active. Eunice belonged to the Women's Bible Study and taught Vacation Bible School. On January 20, 1951 she married Ernest Skuse in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include 7 children, Timothy (Karen) Skuse of Ravenna, Sandra (Richard) Nolan of N. Muskegon, Julie (David) Hazekamp of Fruitport, Lori Horan of N. Muskegon, Darren Skuse of Holland, Kelly (Dan) Mundinger of Muskegon, Kerri (Dan) Jacobs of Muskegon; 19 grandchildren, Jeremy (Amanda), Ryan (Jenica), Adam (Becca), Nolan, Levi Skuse; Kristen Guevara, Kyle Frein, Matthew Nolan, Katie (Don) Stafford; Daniel (Holly), Stephen, David, Lauren Hazekamp; Kaitlin and Taylor Horan; DJ and Jacob Mundinger; Landon and Reese Jacobs; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Daniel (Thelma) Wolfe of Muskegon; sister, Kathleen Allard of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Russell DeNio of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Bette Wolfe of Muskegon; special nieces and nephews including Diane DeNio-Reid. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, John Wolfe, James Wolf, Arthur Wolf, David Wolf; and a sister, Alice DeNio. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with the Rev. John E. Romanosky officiating. Burial will be in Sullivan Twp. Cemetery.
