Eugene A. Becklin

Eugene A. Becklin BECKLIN, MR. EUGENE A. Egelston Township Mr. Eugene A. Becklin, age 85, passed away Friday morning, January 20, 2006, at a local hospital. The oldest of thirteen children, he was born December 2, 1920 in Fruitport to Alfred and Florence (Andregg) Becklin. He married the former Bertha Simmerman in Muskegon on August 31, 1946 and she preceded him in death in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II and was a self-employed carpenter. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, Dennis A. Becklin of Grand Haven and Gene D. (Patricia) Becklin of Muskegon; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Suzette in 1997. Burial will take place in Egelston Township Cemetery. In accordance with Mr. Becklin's wishes, there will be no service or visitation.
