Ethel Meyers

Mrs. Ethel (Hodgson) Meyers, age 97, passed away Monday evening March 5, 2007 in Grand Haven. She was born on July 27, 1909 to John and Wilhelmina (Horrenga) Wester in Muskegon where she has resided most of her life. She was a former member of East Muskegon Christian Reformed Church and currently a member of First Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hodgson, who passed away August 29, 1971. She then married Peter Meyers who passed away December 13, 1983. SURVIVORS include 2 Step-Sons, Gerald Meyers of Muskegon and Paul (Janet) Meyers of Grand Haven; 3 Step-Daughters, Doris (Richard) Beishuizen of Muskegon, Marilyn (Chris) Postma and Jean (Jerry) Talsma of Rudyard; 1 step-daughter-in-law, Florence Meyers; several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 brother, Henry Wester of Muskegon. SERVICES will be 2:30 PM on Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Michael Borgert officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Muskegon Rescue Mission would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
