Ernest V. Hansen

Mr. Hansen age 86, was welcomed into Heaven on Sun., June 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, La-Von and son, David "Tom" Hansen. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was employed by General Telephone Co., for over thirty years before his retirement. He was active in bowling leagues at Northway Lanes. Mr. Hansen is survived by his children, Doris (Ronald) Fekken of New Era and Darrell (Sandra) Hansen of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Donna Hansen of Montague; grandchildren, David Hansen, Karla Pankow, Ryan Fekken, Tommy Hansen, Dawn (Joel) Beach, Rob (Robin) Fekken, Sharla (Dan) Baumgardner, Pete Grant and Kay Grant; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held Wed., 1-4 and 6-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby. The funeral service will be held Thurs., 2 pm at New Era Bible Church. Interment: Ferry Twp. Cemetery with military honors. Memorials to VFW Post #446, 165 S.
