GALLAGHER, MR ERNEST O. Grand Haven Mr. Ernest Owen Gallagher, 89, of Grand Haven, passed away yesterday at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1915 on Beaver Island to Captain Owen Gallagher and Sarah Gibson, both deceased. As a young teen, Ernie delivered Western Union Telegrams to residents of Highland Park. He was employed on ships that sailed the Great Lakes as was his father. He drove truck for the Bronsema Trucking Co. and retired from Anderson Bowling. Ernie was the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, an usher at St. Patricks Church and a member of the local Goodfellows Club. He married Christina Veselits on Oct. 7, 1939. She passed away Oct. 17, 1992. Also deceased is a son, Keith Michael Gallagher. He leaves one sister, Loretta Brown of Grand Haven. Deceased sisters include Virginia Peel, Rose McQuality and Genieve Catron . Deceased brother, Robert . SURVIVORS children , Rita Rouwhorst of Grand Haven, Karen Gallagher of Miami, FL, Ron Gallagher of Hollywood, FL, Kurt and Lynnette Gallagher of Grand Haven; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters in law; 2 brothers in law; many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Industrial Bowling League, he enjoyed fishing golfing and gardening. Ernie was a resident of Robbinswood Living Center for five years. SERVICE A Funeral Mass for Ernest O. Gallagher will be held 10:30A.M. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at St. Patricks Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois officiating. Visitation will be held 2-5 P.M., Sunday at Clock Funeral Home, with a Scripture Service at 4:30 PM with Deacon Fett officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Patricks Church.
