Ernest A. Eveland

Mr. Ernest A. Eveland, age 85, passed away Thursday evening, July 31, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born March 13, 1923 to Wells and Nellie (Hills) Eveland in Fife Lake, MI, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1943. Mr. Eveland worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 33 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. He was devoted to his faith, and attended the First Wesleyan Church. Mr. Eveland was preceded in death by his first wife, Alvina Mahoney, in 1978. He later married Mildred (Paxton) Erb in 1979 and she survives him along with 1 step-daughter, Karen Rossman of Muskegon; several grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Rev. Richard K. Bennett officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday.
