Elvida "Tootie" La Vasseur

Elvida "Tootie" LaVasseur, age 80, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009. She was born to Louis and Thelma (Woodward) Bartell on December 24, 1928. Elvida is survived by her husband of 62 years, George; 1 daughter, Lois Gue of Muskegon; 2 sons, Lawrence LaVasseur of Muskegon and Ronald (Sally) LaVasseur of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Charlotte Yelvington of Fremont and Judy (John) Twork of Holton; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karman Beeman and by a son-in-law, Douglas Gue. Elvida had worked at Bemis Tech Molding in Muskegon for 9 years. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon.
